چکیده

Abstract Natural disasters may lead to failure of critical assets part railway systems. Slope often results in major economic consequences. Due the importance that railways systems have, it is pertinent ensure good performance and long‐term. The objective present research propose tools allow obtaining probability soil slopes under a seismic event by employing surrogate models ease computational cost considering uncertainties associated with geotechnical geometrical properties case study located Portugal. presented methodology derived fragility curves, using peak ground acceleration (PGA) as intensity measure (IM), can be used assess slope for different safety levels, thus providing useful information prioritizing taking preventive actions maintain desired system.

Improved seismic fragility modeling from empirical data

The improved empirical fragility model addresses statistical dependence among observations of seismic performances, which arises from common but unknown factors influencing the observations. The proposed model accounts for this dependence by explicitly including common variables in the formulation of the limit state for individual components. Additionally, the fact that observations of the same...

Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis for Ground Shaking

Foreword The purpose of the Delta Risk Management Strategy (DRMS) Initial Technical Framework (ITF) is to guide the analysis of specific technical topics as they relate to assessing potential risks to Delta levees and assets resulting from various potential impacts (e.g., floods, earthquakes, subsidence, and climate change). These ITFs are considered " starting points " for the work that is to ...

Deterministic seismic hazard analysis for Peshawar, Pakistan

Ground motion estimation for a site (34.01 o N, 71.45 o E) located in the Peshawar in terms of Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values is conducted. It is carried out with deterministic seismic hazard analysis approach using faults sources within a radius of one hundred kilometers around site. The results of this study indicate that the Main Boundary Thrust located at a distance of twenty nine (2...
